Barnfield Road

This is a residential project, including one large commercial ground floor unit. This is a new build project for the local council, based in Woolwich and it consists of one commercial unit and 14 flats.

The building is formed with timber frame SIPs with external brick walls and insulation. We were contracted to construct the complex roof structure – which includes two crown roofs separated with a flat roof section. The flat roof has 3 AOVs for access and services, and we also formed the timber parapet walls and box gutters to allow for water discharge. We also installed security doors to all external door/window openings, as well as complete the 2^nd fix carpentry package for the 14 flats.

1st fix carpentry

• Construction of main roof (2 crown roofs/flat roof/external parapets).
• Timber/Ply AOVs for roof access/services
• Installation of security windows/doors using OSB and timber.
• Installation of window boards
• Forming falls to balcony’s – furring’s/ply/box gutters
• Installation of internal Screed Board
• Installation of timber windows and doors

2nd fix carpentry

• Internal FD30 door sets (including ironmongery)
• Skirting and architrave
• Kitchen installation
• Flooring
• Stair core string and apron
• Final finishes (Mirrors, bathroom accessories, door stops etc)
