A residential project, based on Ealing High Street, converting the existing building into 10 council apartments. This project was complex, with a full refurbishment to the original building, new flat roof construction and internal elevator installation.
Every floor was stripped down to bare timber/ re-joisted and 18mm ply was also reinstalled. The main roof was stripped and supported with new rafters and ridge beam; whilst cutting out a clear 3mx3m opening for the newly built elevator shaft. The adjacent flat roof was rebuilt with 6’2 furring’s, box gutters and 18mm ply. This timber roof was covered in 200mm insulation creating a warm insulated roof for the building below. The project also requires us to form 8 external balconies, repair the existing windows of the property and complete all the 2nd fix carpentry.
